Governor’s Mansion Summer Peach Tea Punch

Whether you are sitting on the front porch after a hot day or getting ready for a baby shower, this is the punch for you. There is a reason it’s called the Governor’s Mansion - this is one top notch drink. Want to make it an evening punch for a down-home barbeque? Add a splash of your favorite alcohol and you’ve got a classy Punch with a “punch”. Let this versatile punch make a stand at your next party.

Ingredients

Tea

Simple Syrup


Instructions

Simple sugar Syrup

  1. bring 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to boil until sugar is dissolved. Chill to room temp.

Punch

  1. Bring 4 cups water to boil in medium saucepan; add tea bags and mint leaves.
  2. Boil one minute; remove from heat. Cover and steep 10 minutes. Discard tea bags and mint.
  3. Pour into a 1 gallon container, add peach nectar, lemonade, and simple syrup.
  4. Cover and chill 8-24 hours.
  5. Pour chilled tea mixture into punch bowl or pitcher. Stir in ginger ale and club soda just before serving.

Recipe Notes

optional: Garnish with peach slices.
