2018 Peach Crop Update

As many of you know, sweet Georgia peaches need one critical element to grow big, juicy and sweet: cold weather.

Winter in 2017 and early 2018 have brought us many chill hours. Typically, peaches need 1000 hours of cold weather to really go dormant so they are able to bloom large and sweet in the spring.

We are nearly at 1,000 hours of cold weather and historically – this means a big season for our sweet peaches.
